Long-term memory in humans refers to our memory of events, people, ideas and skills that stay with us for very long periods, perhaps for our whole lives. It is often divided into: episodic memory of events and gtheor relations; {[declarative memory}} of facts and concepts; and procedural memory of how to do things. In addition, decalartuve memory for different kinds of things, for example perosnal relationships vs public figures, are stored in different ways.
